Valerie and Molly (who’s still waiting in Valerie’s tummy) came to see me yesterday for a fun portrait session! Valerie is also a photographer so it was fun to be able to communicate in “camera talk” while we worked. Here are just a few of the results from our hang out day!

Mary and Shane finally had their baby! And she’s a beautiful baby girl! I went out to their home to shoot a lifestyle session with them in the new nursery.
When my old BFF from grade school contacted me about a month ago asking me to shoot her wedding, I said of course!! We’ve known each other since we were just children. We lived next door to each other for years. We used to spend all our time together outside, either playing mad libs or uno, soaking up the sun, riding bikes, snapping pics of each other, or riding my pony. (Yes, I actually had a pony when I was young - eat your heart out lisa simpson!) :) I lost touch with her after high school so it was nice to have an opportunity to catch up again!
Her wedding was a very small, intimate event. There was no dancing or partying, just their closest friends and family gathered around to celebrate a very special day……and eat some wedding cake of course! (Can’t have a wedding without cake!)
She was married on her family’s beautiful land in Carencro, Louisiana. We were worried about weather, but it turned out to be such a beautiful day!
They even found 4-leaf clovers!

She even brought her old photo album with a bunch of OLD pics of us from middle school! Kristy’s in the middle and that’s me all the way on the right. (The crazy one trying to choke them out!)
Moms! I’ve sent emails out to everyone on how to get the password to view your gallery. I immediately heard back from every one of you except for a small few. Thanks to all of you who voted last year, I found myself in the top 5 nominated without even realizing the contest was on. But in the end, it was the “old school” guys who won the top 3 list, leaving me and Travis, (the two youngest) in 4th and 5th place. Well now it’s time to vote again! Will I make it to the top 3 this year??? With your help I can! Well, if enough of you love me anyway!

So after spending 7 hours back and forth with support over my email issue, i think now it’s finally working again. But my mail is gone from april 2nd till today. So anyone who sent me an email between then, there is no guarantee that I got it. So if you haven’t heard from me, please email me again.

Now at nearly 2:00 PM, I can finally go start my list of things to edit today………
Ok, so last week my website and email were down for about 2 days, then they got my website up and running and my email started receiving emails again, but it was sending out error messages to everyone making them think I didn’t receive their messages, even though I did. Well, it seems now that email@dawnearles.com is working fine now, but dawn@dawnearles.com isn’t working at all. Now I’m really not getting the messages. That includes anything sent from my contact form on my website. So, until we get this issue solved, please send all emails to email@dawnearles.com. Or to be extra safe, send me a myspace message.
It’s amazing, you spend all this money and time to have this stuff, and it turns out after all this time, “freebie” myspace has been the most reliable portal for me. Go figure!
Sorry about all the confusion! Believe me, no one is as frustrated as I am right now! It’s not a good thing when I don’t know if someone is trying to contact me!!!
And what an amazing day it was! The event took place at the fabulous Jefferson Island, and the details were to die for!
The break apart bouquet was a hit! The girls were all winners!
