…..Only in Louisiana….. This little guy’s been posing for me for the last 3 years now. I’m watching him slowly grow. He’s been hiding out most of the year but he decided to come out and play today.

Last shot of the day. They were so into this shoot. They weren’t shy, they just played and had fun, and it shows. They were so good that their session lasted an hour less than my average session.

No way! Never feed the wild animals! The trick is to just respect their personal space, move slowly, get the shot and then back off. Just in case some of you are wondering, this shot was taken at 17mm… so no, I’m not using a zoom, I’m right in front of it. In fact, I’m closer to it than it looks in the pic because it’s 17mm. One time I got too close and he jerked towards me and made a loud hissing noise. Scared the living hell out of me! Unfortunately, this animal probably can’t tell the difference between me and the many thousands of tourists that go through there, and piss him off, so I guess sometimes he’s just not in the mood to deal with people. But for the most part he tolerates me and lets me get pretty close to him.
