Sarah and Steve Rainy Day Engagements

So, what do you do when it decides to rain for your photo shoot? Get ready to get wet of course! Well, if it’s an engagement and if the rain is light enough to shoot through… But I can’t promise to get most of these same pics in a storm…although, I could probably get one or two really cool shots. Actually, I asked them to bring a dry change of clothes and towels in case it decided to storm during the shoot…I was ready to put them in it and soak them up. But the rain stayed light and steady through out the shoot. You can’t even tell it’s raining in most of the pics. The trees really acted like an umbrella for the most part, and when they weren’t under trees, they had a real umbrella to hide under – which made for some really cute pics. I really have to comment on how great they were considering the weather. They didn’t let it bother them at all – even though they were very moist for a few hours. Of course, things got really interesting after my car started sliding down the muddy hill…but I won’t go into that. Let’s just say I don’t care how far we have to walk in the rain…I’m never doing THAT again!

Hope your camera didnt get too much rain. I get a little nervous when it comes to water and my equipment. This pics are beautiful and the umbrella shot is just lovely.
Yeh, makes me nervous too…but I kept drying it off every chance I got. So we’ll see if they still work ok on my next shoot. (Good think for backups) About halfway through, I realized I could stick the handle of an umbrella in my shirt and it would stand up strait over my head for me…so that helped…unless there was a gust of wind..haha. You guys still keep the d200 in stock? I may need to make an emergency purchase if things start going wrong.
Yeah we got a few. lol Ill pray for your sha D200. You need to purchase an umbrella hat. That may work. Hehe!!
Haha, I was actually looking around the web for one but they are so small….but it did stumble on this…wanna come over and help me make one?

Dawn,
I am very excited. I have to admit I was a little worried about how the pictures would come out because of the weather but these are great!! Just wanted you to know how much fun Steve and I had.
Cool deal, maybe ill take some pics of you wearing it. lol
Wowsers . . . Dawn these are my favorites ever!!! Sure wish I’d known you when Frank & I got married way back in 1995.
Thanks Sarah! Glad you guys had fun in the bad weather…sorry I almost got my car stuck!! Tell Steve thanks for helping me get out of there…I probably would have never made it back up the hill if I didn’t gun it, and I would have never thought to do that….
Thanks Robin! I was actually graduating from high school in 1995 and probably wouldn’t have done a very good job back then. Maybe a rewedding in the future?
If I knew Dustin would go for it, I would do it for us since we never really had a wedding of our own. But he’ll never go for that.
Val, your on!! I’ll make it my new profile pic so everyone can laugh at me when they see it!!
I just had to agree that Dawn NEEDS that get up! Actually, it’s a must for any professional! Great pics, chick! And Valerie, thanks so much for your help the other day! My wedding on the 6th went awesome! Thanks again!
Just let me know when and if your equipment goes bonkers again. Ill be there to help for sure!!
You have to be the next big Yervant for sure! If you ever decide to share some of your skills, please inform me of the convention…
